Fetish for ........ Celebrity Gossip??

OK, I must admit, I'm guilty. I love to search the internet for all of the latest celebrity gossip. TMZ, Sandra Rose, Bossip, you name it, I've checked it. Do you think it's fair that so much of what celebrities are doing are splattered across the internet or do you think this is the life they signed up for once they became famous? I mean, think about it - so many celebrities are on twitter now, tweeting about their every move at any given moment. It's as if they want to be seen and followed by the paparazzi. So is it possible that maybe they want the general public to keep up with them as well? Now, if it was me, I would rather go unnoticed by staying away from things like twitter, making announcements about buying lettuce or working out at the gym or getting a spa treatment, etc. etc. And of course I realize that the bulk of what you read on the internet is probably as far from the truth as the sun is from the earth. But it's entertainment none the less. Millions of dollars are spent each year on newspaper and magazines like US Weekly, The Enquirer and Star. To take it a step further, more and more celebrities are opening the doors to their real lives on reality T.V. allowing us total access to their world. So do you think America has taken it too far with the celebrity gossip? Are we obsessed?
